Coaching at LHS for 2020-21

We are always looking for great coaches to add to our amazing coaching staff.

If you are interested in coaching at Lincoln High School, please email the Athletic Director, David Fai at

Assembly Bill (AB) 1025 and AB 346 requires all classified and certificated employees and volunteers who engage in pupil activity program to obtain both Department of Justice (DOJ) AND FBI clearance.

  • Every yearALL coaches and athletic volunteers must submit an application to Lori Serrano – 100 Building Room 131.
  • All SDUSD Classified, Paid, Walk-On, or Volunteer coaches and must be processed and fingerprinted.
  • You will be notified by email or by phone when you your fingerprints are cleared.

Incomplete applications will NOT be processed.

Volunteer Coaches

Complete the following courses:

  • Mandated Reporter: Child Abuse and Neglect
  • Human Trafficking Awareness
  • Youth Suicide: Awareness, Prevention and Postvention

Paid Coaches

Complete the following courses via SDUSD SafeSchools website below:

  • Mandated Reporter: Child Abuse and Neglect

The 2 courses below can be found by clicking on View Library located under the “Interested in Extra Training?”  at the bottom of the page.  At the top right hand of the new page, type in each course name into the search field to locate the courses.  Both courses are found under the Social and Behavioral Category.

  • Human Trafficking Awareness
  • Youth Suicide: Awareness, Prevention and Postvention

As District Employees, you must complete your 3 courses using your Employee ID & District password with the following link:

SDUSD will now email you using your account to inform you of the status of your course completions and or expirations upcoming.  You can reset your password using the Password Self-Service link:  If that doesn’t work, call the IT Helpdesk at (619) 209-4357 selecting Option 2 (options may be subject to change so be sure to listen to the prompts if needed).

Returning Coach/Walk-On/Certificated

Orientation for Volunteers and paid Coaches will be done after you have submitted all your documents.

Orientation process takes approximately 15 to 45 minutes.

  • Fingerprints – will be taken after your orientation is complete. You CANNOT work or volunteer until all above paperwork is complete and your Fingerprints are cleared.
  • You will be notified by the Supervising Admin Assistant when your fingerprints have cleared and you are ready to work. We will provide an ID Card.

SDUSD requires all new hires to pay ($84) for their LiveScan Fingerprinting at the time of services are rendered.  LiveScan Fingerprinting accepts Visa, Mastercard, Money Orders, Corporate or Cashier’s Checks.
